SUE-DEL McCULLOCH, Attorney
Ms. McCulloch opened the Law Offices of Sue-Del McCulloch LLC, in January 2005, after three years as partner in Dolan Griggs & McCulloch LLP, of which she was a founding partner. Ms. McCulloch practices in the field of eminent domain law, in which she has represented both land owners and public bodies in property valuation law and litigation in association with John R. McCulloch, Jr., P.C. Ms. McCulloch also provides representation in employment matters for both employers and employees. Ms. McCulloch previously worked as an associate in the litigation department of Ramis Crew Corrigan & Bachrach. Before moving into private practice, Ms. McCulloch spent three years as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge James A. Redden, United States District Judge, District of Oregon. In her life before law school, Ms. McCulloch was a medical laboratory technician at the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory.
Ms. McCulloch is a member of the Oregon (1995) and Washington (2002) State Bars and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, District of Oregon (1999).
Education:
Ms. McCulloch attended Mills College, in Oakland, California, from which she received a B.A. in American Civilization, with minors in French and chemistry. She worked at the Oregon Department of Justice while attending Lewis & Clark College, Northwestern School of Law, from which she received her J.D. in 1994. As a law student, Ms. McCulloch attended summer sessions at the International Institute of Human Rights, Strasbourg, France, the Institute Henri Dunant in Geneva, Switzerland, and Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.
Professional Affiliations:
Ms. McCulloch has served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Campaign for Equal Justice, and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Multnomah Bar Association YLS. She is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. She is also a member of Oregon Women Lawyers (“OWLS”), the Oregon State Bar Litigation and Employment Sections, and the Washington State Bar Litigation and Employment Sections.
Community and Civic Activities:
Ms. McCulloch has been an instructor for Oregon State Bar Continuing Legal Education (Employee Rights/Litigation, 2004); writes regularly for the OWLS quarterly newsletter, the Advance Sheet; is a paddler on the OWLS DragonFlies dragonboat team; and sings with the Portland Symphonic Choir, a premier classical choral group.
